Salome's father was Ahmet Abdol, the mutant X-Men villain known as "The Living Monolith" and "The Living Pharaoh." Salome's own father was the leader of the Cult of the Living Pharaoh, and Salome belonged to this group as well. Salome was apparently an ardent following of the Cult of the Living Pharaoh. She willingly tricked the Fantastic Four when that team of super-heroes came into conflict with the Cult. Salome's non-Egyptian cousin Leila O'Toole (a.k.a. Plasma) was also a devoted follower of this group.
Unfortunately for her, Salome was murdered by her own father in order to prevent her from possibly revealing any information about him and his goals to the Fantastic Four. Later Salome's father went on a rampage, guilt-ridden over having killed his own daughter.
