Mr. Wooley was the headmaster at Ferreden Boys School, a boarding school. One of his students, Martin Davis, fooled people into believing that he was a mutant. Mr. Wooley called in X-Factor to investigate. They discovered the truth - that Martin had simply used audio bugs he planted in people's rooms and offices.
One of the secrets that Martin discovered, which helped convince Mr. Wooley that the boy had telepathy, was that Mr. Wooley was having an affair. The headmaster thought the boy must have read his mind, but he had only overheard incriminating activities.
Martin Davis was actually blackmailing the headmaster with information about his "indiscretion" with his secretary. Naturally, Wooley was embarrassed to admit this to X-Factor.
