Carmilla Black is the new Scorpion with poison-based powers but she has no connection to the original Scorpion. Her mother genetically designed her and other kids called the Wakers.
The "Wakers" were a small group of special "deep penetration" A.I.M. agents. They were genetically engineered to be capable of resisting all chemical biological and nuclear weapons.
