The Thought-Beast is an animal native to the planet Krypton, the place where Superman was born. The creature has what appears to be a viewing screen on its back. It uses this to display images of whatever it is thinking. It is often thinking about what is planning to eat next.
The Interplanetary Habitat in Superman's Fortress of Habitat contains some rare creatures long thought to be extinct. The Kryptonian Thought-Beast is among these.
