Kev-Dal is one of the Kryptonian Stellar Navy soldiers who, along with Karsta Wor-Ul, deserted the military so that they did not need to return to Krypton and give up their yellow sun-spawned super powers. Most of these deserters were eventually captured or killed by authorities or the anti-Kryptonian mercenary Amalak.
Kev-Dal is first named in panel 4 on page 8 in Superman #669.
Kev-Dal's death at the hands of Almeraci soldiers was specifically mentioned in panel 4 on page 11.
