An unnamed jewel thief was featured throughout this story. Batman recounts to reporters how he had a particularly bad day, with a string of bad luck. He was trying to catch a jewel thief, a mission that should have been fairly simple, but a series of mishaps led to the jewel thief being able to elude the hero. In the end, Batman finally figured out where the thief would return to retrieve stolen loot, and Batman finally caught him.
