Goro Watanabe as a very successful research scientist. His daughter, Fujiko Watanabe, worked as his secretary. One of Goro Watanabe's employees - Toru Tarakoto - was dating his daughter. Goro Watanabe was apparently unaware that Tarakoto was such a fanatical nationalist that the man would resort to violent measures to pursue his goals.
