Charles was seen in panel 4 on page 4 in the story "A Rendezvous with Robbery!" Batman and Robin are interviewing Bruce Wayne's caterer to try to figure out how the waiters working the catering detail at a lavish party at Bruce Wayne's mansion could have been replaced by dangerous thieves. The caterer briefly interrupts his conversation with Batman and Robin to tell a young waiter, "Uh, Charles-- More olives on the trays! Mr. Winston is very fond of them! And make a fruit display . . ."
