An unnamed male investor purchased shares in the Black Gold Oil Well. While investigating a case, Clark Kent learned that the corrupt brokers Meek and Bronson sold worthless oil shares to many investors. Clark Kent purchased the shares so that the investors actually made a profit. This unnamed male investor was very honest with Cark Kent (who presented himself as "Homer Ramsey") and told him he thought the shares were worthless. But Clark used his own savings to buy the shares anyway, as part of his plan to take down the crooked brokers and help out the innocent people they tried to defraud.
