Amy Carlson was featured on pages 2 and 3 of "Terror In the Trucker's Union" in Superman #4 (Spring 1940). She was the daughter of Carlson, the Truckers' Union chief. Mr. Carlson refused to capitulate to the demands of notorious racketeer Gus Snide. Snide had his thugs kidnap the little girl, who appears to be about 6 years old in this story. Gus Snide's thug was actually about to carve up the little girl's face with a knife when Superman rescued her just in the nick of time. Superman returned the frightened little girl to her grateful parents.

In this story it is clear that Mr. Carlson is a deeply ethical God-fearing man who doubtless raised his daughter to be the same way, but it is impossible to determine their precise denominational affiliation.
