Velena-Than was an important Galadorian warrior. He was the Commander-in-Chief of the Vanguard (also known as the "Colonial Vanguard" of Galdor), which is the conventional army of Galador. There was often an uneasy relationship between the conventional military, which Velena-Than headed, and Galador's other major peace-keeping force, the famous Spaceknights. Because of his office as Vanguard Commander-in-Chief, Velena-Than was on the Galadorian High Command, a seat he held alongside notable Galadorians such as Brandy Clark, Baldar and Gaspar.
