Film director Ned Norton harbored bitter feelings over being fired as the director of the "Dreadcastle" remake. A mysterious villain who called himself "Clayface" menaced the production of this film, beginning by killing the starring actress. Ned Norton was briefly suspected of being the masked killer, until it was discovered that Basil Karlo (star of the original version of the film) was the real culprit.
