Fletcher Silver Co. is the setting of pages 1 through 4 of "Professor Strange's Fear Dust" in Detective Comics #46 (Dec. 1940). A gang of criminals are trying to rob the business when Batman interrupts them and soundly defeats them.
Fletcher himself is never seen in this story, nor is he mentioned in dialogue. A sign on the front of the building reads "Fletcher Silver Co." Actually, the "F" on the beginning of the word "Fletcher" can not be seen on the sign because that part of the sign is off-panel (as seen on the splash page on page 1). But it is reasonable to assume that the owner's name is "Fletcher" and not "Letcher" or some other name far less common.
