Jimmy the Gent was a lieutenant in the local mob in the city where a young Amos Fortune and his four friends (the future Royal Flush Gang) first operated as a criminal gang. Jimmy the Gent recruited Amos Fortune and his friends into working for the mob. Jimmy served as sort of a "mentor" early in Fortune's career, until the fledgeling supervillain struck out on his own with his cohort friends.
