Stewart "Stymie" Schmidt was a young man the same age as Matt Murdock when Matt was growing up. Stymie was a bully who made Matt's life a living hell when he was a youth.
Years later, Matt Murdock became the super-hero Daredevil. Stymie became a hired thug who worked for villains such as the Kingpin and The Trump. Matt Murdock encountered Stymie again as an adult in his crime-fighting adventures.
