Batwoman (Kathy Kane) briefly dated a female Gotham attorney named Anna. Batwoman's attorney girlfriend was looking for a serious relationship, but she broke up with Batwoman because she thought she was "tomcatting around" (acting promiscuously with other women).

Mallory is the woman who introduced these two women to each other. Based on the context in which she is described, one can be fairly certain that Mallory is a lesbian like her two friends.

In the Batwoman story ("Agitato") in Detective Comics #854 (Aug. 2009), Kathy Kane has breakfast with her attorney girlfriend. The woman is somewhat angry when she tells Kathy, "I told you when Mallory introduced us that I was looking for a serious relationship, and you agreed to that. You said you wanted stability. But instead, you're out at all hours tomcatting around. I should've known you were using me as a rebound."
