An unnamed store manager was a supervisor over Emmy Doolin. This manager, a short pudgy white man with a comb-over, seemed particularly unsavory morally. He criticized Emmy, pointing out that there have been repeated complaints about her attitude. The manager then pressured Emmy to come by his office later, with the implication being that she would need to gratify her boss sexually lest she lose he job.
The manager told Emmy Doolin: "Complaints, Emmy. That's all I ever get when it comes to you. Aother one, just this morning, called you . . . surly, unresponsive, uncooperative. I don't know what your problem is. Smart, attractive girl like you . . . customers might stop complaining if you smiled every now and then. Maybe you should smile at me. Think about that. And stop by my office during your break. Don't be too long."
Before this scheduled "meeting" could take place, Emmy Doolin left her job at the store because she was recruited by Homeland Security directory Norman Osborn to be part of a black ops group charged with helping rehabilitate Daken's public reputation.
