The Adjudik was the governor of the planet Orbucen. When Galactus came to devour the planet, the space-faring hero Nova helped the Orbuceni flee and relocate elsewhere.
While Adjudik's native planet was being destroyed by Galactus, a mysterious being known as "Harrow" fed off the fear of the Orbuceni people and possessed Adjudik's body.
"Adjudik" was a title, not a proper name.
