Shirtless Caucasian agents wearing round metallic helmets fought Deadpool as he tried to rescue a beautiful female scientist (who he called "Ms. Hottie McScience"). Deadpool and the scientist fought the agents throughout the story titled "Pinky Swear" in Deadpool #900 (Dec. 2009). It was never made clear what these agents were called or who they worked for. They no doubt were agents or mercenaries or soldiers of some nefarious organization. They didn't say much. They just tried to attack Deadpool and the scientist, who, in turn, killed them all. Deadpool called them "Redshirts," referring to Star Trek, basically meaning that they were cannon fodder, meant to be killed in the course of the story.
The agents may have even been very human-like robots, they were so single-minded in their attack. But they didn't look like robots at all, so it is reasonable to conclude they were simply humans who were fanatical or extremely dedicated to their job.
As the story progresses, it becomes slightly more clear that the shirtless agents are indeed humans, and that they belong to some sort of fanatical religious group. In panel 2 on page 9, one of the agents shouts (while preparing to shoot Deadpool with a high-powered weapon): "For the glory of our cause!"
The fanatical agent does not get an opportunity to say anything else because Deadpool then stuffs a dog into the man's mouth.
