Jebediah Ravenstorm was a Native American and a criminal who was the founder of Lawless, Arizona. On 31 December 1875, the people of the town hanged him for his continuing criminal acts, he cursed them so that their spirits were trapped in the town.
Years later, Ravenstorm was reanimated and possessed by the demon Kthara. Kthara's foe Daimon Hellstorm (the Son of Satan) and his ally, the Thing, defeated the merged Kthara/Ravenstorm and exorcised the demon. This disrupted the curse and released the long-trapped spirits of the people of Lawless.
Before departing to their final reward in the afterlife, the spirits of Lawless tore the demon Kthara apart, apparently destroying her for good.
