This Doctor Doom doppelganger is NOT a Doombot. Doombots are robots created by Doctor Doom to pose as him in his absence. The Doctor Doom doppelganger is an evil duplicate of Doctor Doom created by Magus at the same time he created evil duplicates of super-heroes all over the world.
Throughout most of the story in Silver Sable and the Wild Pack #4 (Sep. 1992), Silver Sable is dealing with a Doombot, a robotic duplicate of Doctor Doom, while she is in Latveria for her annual state dinner with the Latverian dictator. Toward the end of this issue, she figures out that she is dealing with a robotic duplicate, not the man himself, and she destroys the robot. Not long afterward, she is confronted with the Doctor Doom doppelganger. That meeting serves as a cliff-hanger. Silver Sable's actual battle with the Doctor Doom doppelganger takes place in Silver Sable and the Wild Pack #5 (Oct. 1992).
