The Chosen is a sect or socio-religious group on a distant planet. The Chosen have very specific religious beliefs and practices which were a major part of a 7-part X-Factor story arc.

A related group which had branched off from the Chosen and was their enemy for many years was known as the Rejects. Ultimately, in the face of judgement by the space gods known as the Celestials, the Chosen and Rejects re-unified. X-Factor helped in this process.
