Gigi Martin was a regular human student at Empire State University. She was the founder of a student group named Students for Tolerance. The purpose of this group was to promote understanding between regular humans and mutants. The group members included both mutants and non-mutants.
Gigi's former boyfriend Alex was a mutant. He was also a member of Students for Tolerance.
Gigi met the mutant named Chamber when he attended Empire Student University. While Chamber was there, Gigi and her group came into conflict with an extremist mutant group named Magnetic North.
Although Gigi Martin seemed like a very nice person, she was ultimately revealed as the villain behind violent crimes that Chamber investigated (including shooting Chamber himself).
