George was a patient of the psychotic villainess Harley Quinn in her "civilian guise" as psychologist Dr. Harleen Quinzel. Dr. Quinzel convinced George to express his inner rage. He ended up killing his girlfriend and them himself as a result of Dr. Quinzel's manipulations.
Dr. Quinzel considered this result a "success." She used her position as a therapist not to help people, but as a hobby for herself. She saw her patients as playthings.
