Ahriman has been described as an "evil version of Horus." Horus is the Egyptian sun god. In the comic book series titled 1963, Horus manifest himself on Earth as a mortal college professor named Whittaker Falcon.
Ahriman was the leader of a group of super-criminals who opposed Horus and the other heroes of 1963 in the final issue (#6) of the series.
The title of this story is "From Here to Alternity!" This is a play on words, a variation on "From Here to Eternity."
We are not yet certain if "Ahriman" in this story is indeed intended to be the actual "Ahriman" from Zoroastrian theology, or if he is simply named after and based on that figure.
