Lester Wilde idolizes criminal masterminds such as the Joker and fancies himself to be one, but he really isn't.
Lester Wilde thinks he is a "dead ringer" for the Joker. But nobody else thinks that Lester Wilde looks like the Joker. Maybe he sort of looks like the Joker. But he's not a "dead ringer."
Far from a "real" criminal mastermind, Lester Wilde had to find work as a henchman for Harley Quinn. This is ironic because Harley Quinn herself was one of the Joker's henchgirls. So, really, Lester Wilde was not at all on the same level was the Joker, because he was working as a henchman for the Joker's henchgirl. It's kind of embarrassing when you look at it this way.
Lester Wilde was introduced in Harley Quinn #4. In this story he recounts the formation of the "Quinntets," Harley Quinn's organized gang of henchmen.
Lester Wilde died in this same story.
