A young black boy was a close friend of young Franklin Richards. (It is quite likely they knew each other from school.)
The black boy (whose name was not revealed) was on of five friend who went camping in New Jersey (in the Pine Barrens). The other boys were Franklin Richards, Freddie Battle, Marcus Garrett and Eduardito. The adults who took them camping were three members of the Fantastic Four: Reed Richards (Mister Fantastic), Susan Storm Richards (Invisible Woman) and Ben Grimm (the Thing).
While camping in the Pine Barrens, the five boys (and their adult chaperones) encountered dangerous aliens known as "the Visitors."
