Jodie was a maintenance worker who worked at Riker's Island Prison. He was working in an underground tunnel when Spider-Man and the Black Cat helped Norman Osborn escape from prison. Osborn was handcuffed, but head-butted Jodie, injuring him. Osborn ran off while Spider-Man made sure that Jodie was relatively okay. Jodie had some broken bones, but he would survive.
