Big Tony was a New York City mob boss who was extremely worried about the Absorbing Man's recent work, killing local crimebosses. He asked one of the gangsters who worked under him about their preparations to defend against the Absorbing Man. The gangster told him: "These guns fire every kind of round -- from dum dum bullets to electric shocks. Plus they're dipped in poison! And blessed by Father Angelo!"
