When Elise Erickson was a child, her family went on a vacation to New York City. While there, a monster attacked a bridge they were crossing. The super-hero (and Norse/Teutonic deity) Thor saved them and other drivers on the bridge. Elise wrote a letter to Thor, recounting this experience. She mentioned her brother when she said: "My brother's favorite hero used to be Daredevil but now it's you (we didn't see Daredevil.)"
