Rudolph Bradley was a mayoral candidate in New York City whose formal campaign event was crashed by Mike Farrell, masquerading as the hero Captain America. As part of Farrell's nefarious plan to ruin Captain America's reputation, Dead-Ringer (masquerading as the late super-villain Porcupine) invaded the event and battled "Cap." In the ensuing battle, Bradley was hit by some of Porcupine's spines and injured.
