This large, muscular bodyguard for Damon Dran grabbed Captain America on page 18 in Captain America (vol. 1) #429. In panel 1 on this page, Golddigger calls this bodyguard "Maynard." At first, Captain America thinks that Golddigger is talking to him. The exhausted Cap, breathing hard, tells her, "Names . . . not . . . Maynard." Then Maynard grabs Cap and says, "Mine is."
Golddigger also refers to this bodyguard as "Maynard" in panel 3 on page 18, when she tells Captain America (while slapping him): "Tell me what you're doing here, Captain, or Maynard and I will play rough!"
In the next issue, this same bodyguard is called "Jake" by his boss, Damon Dran. This takes place on page 3, when Dran tells his bodyguards (who are holding Captain America's friends Diamondback and Moonhunter): "Jake? Kono? Break them!" The white bodyguard identified as "Maynard" and the Asian sumo wrestler Kono are the only bodyguards shown on this page, the only people holding captives.
Then, on panel 5 on page 9, Dran calls this same bodyguard "Reinhold."
This same bodyguard, with his distinctive black hair with a curl on his forehead, wearing a black athletic tank top, is also seen in panel 3 on page 8 when Dran says: "Reinhold! LaGraves! Hernandez! Take the three of them to the warehouse!" In this panel, two other bodyguards are can be seen.
One could take all of these references, consider them together, and suggest that this character's name full name is "Maynard Jake Reinhold."
In all likelihood, the creators of these two issues simply did not realize that the same minor character was referred to by three different names.
