When he first appeared, Mike seemed to be a regular college student who helped instigate a college riot out of his own strongly held beliefs about how things should be run on the campus of the small college he attended in Southern California. A few issue later, however, it was revealed that Mike and his associate Sam were actually agents of A.I.M., working for MODOK.
