Jordl was a Nazi henchmen who worked for the villainous mastermind known as the Red Skull during the Skull's plot to mark the 30th anniversary of Adolph Hitler's death by destroying the American economy.

Jordl can be seen in the background in the Red Skull's secret headquarters. Presumably, Jordl was one of the henchmen who invaded the home of economist Oscar Brenner, killed him, and abducted SHIELD agents Peggy Carter and Gabe Jones.

On page 13 in Captain America (vol. 1) #185, the Red Skull is furious at his captives (Peggy Carter and Gabe Jones) because of what he sees as a budding interracial romance between them. After threatening Gabe Jones, the black SHIELD agents spits on the Skull. The Skull then slaps him to the ground. Enraged, the Skull proclaims: "Let it be on your head then! Confessions would have been for my personal amusement-- and I am no longer amused."

Then addressing one of his henchmen, the Skull orders: "Jordl! Prepare the torments! Mach schnell!"

Jordl puts his hand high in the air in a "Heil Hitler" salue and replies: "Jawohl, Herr Skull!"

Jordl was apparently a very loyal henchman for the Red Skull, and very much in agreement with the Skull's Nazi ideology.

Jordl is seen again in Captain America (vol. 1) #186. In panel 4 on page 11 of this issue, the Red Skull again refers to Jordl by name, issuing orders to him as if he is one of the most important of the various similarly-uniformed henchmen seen.
