Nicholas Wilkes stole the mystical artificact known as the Wand of Watoomb from Doctor Strange, the Sorcerer Supreme.
Doctor Strange was able to retrieve the Wand from Wilkes, and he used magic to force Wilkes to confess. But because the confession was coerced, it was ruled inadmissible in a court of law.
