"THE CHRONICLES OF SARA":

The Story: A 15-year-old high school student accidentally receives powers that she must now use not only to defend the planet from an alien warlord bent on gaining that power for himself, but also to protect her family and prevent her world fom being rendered asunder.

The story is best described as "My So Called Life or Dawson's Creek meets Green Lantern" The tale begins with an alien ship crashing near a town just north of New York City. On her way to meet her best friend, Sara sees the crash and goes to check it out. She falls down a steep hill while investigating and comes upon an alien object. Touching it and accidentally activating it, she is bombarded by a force power that is absorbed into her body. Not knowing how to control this alien power, she struggles to learn to master it while fending off an attack from a warlord bent on taking that power and using it for his own means. Sara is aided by an alien pilot-soldier known as "BOB." Meanwhile, she tries to maintain her normal life. Not wanting these abilities, she must make sure no one knows about them and at the same time defend the planet from an incoming alien attack.

AN ORDINARY LIFE, AN EXTRAORDINARY ADVENTURE
