Johnny was emotionally devasted when she broke up with him, perhaps in part because it was she who ended it with him, instead of the other way around, which was how his relationships usually ended.
Johnny had thought that Ronni might be "the one." When she broke up with him, he was left in a deep depressed funk that had his teammates and family worried.
