Sentinel 6 is identifiable by the number "6" displayed prominently on its torso. This Sentinel was first seen in panel 1 on page 8 in The X-Men (vol. 1) #14.

Sentinels 6, 7 and 8-R were first mentioned by name in panel 4 on page 16 in The X-Men (vol. 1) #14. In this panel, Sentinel 1 (the "Section Leader" for this squad) commands: "Sentinels 6, 7, and 8-R! Assume solo attack posture! Attack! All others remain in formation! Proceed to destination! That is all!"

These three Sentinels can be clearly identified by the characters "6", "7" and "8-R" displayed prominently on their torsos. They can be seen listening to Sentinel 1's orders as they fly near it and break out of formation to follow its orders.
