Davidoff and his current ally General Tskarov saw footage on television showing the Black Widow shooting Daredevil during a battle with Omega Red. Davidoff tells the general that he and the Black Widow have a past history together and that she could be of value to their current goals.

Black Widow called Davidoff. He arranged to meet with her. Davidoff drove to her apartment and picked her up. He introduced her to General Tskarov. The general wanted to talk to her about Daredevil.

The Black Widow was making it seem to the general and Davidoff that she had switched allegiance (an old KGB trick).

Davidoff and General Tskarov turned their attention to another Russian heroine: Darkstar, who they had captured. They wanted her to be one of their soldiers.
