We are introduced to the Soul Breaker. We see Barton Aygrad (of Long Hot Summer fame) get hired by Brickhouse and Third Rail. Third Rail gets kidnapped by the Soul Breaker. The Syndicate goes hunting for Third Rail and finds that Soul Breaker has taken over his mind.

The Syndicate battles with the Soul Breaker as he tries to steal their power. They defeat him by letting him absorb Fade's power. We see the vicious side of Brickhouse as she kills the defeated Soul Breaker in cold blood.
