Dr. Nanda Perhan is an old friend of Painkiller Jane.

Dr. Nanda Perhan discovered the cask of the Maniskeet. Against the wishes of tribal elder Gregory Two Bears, Dr. Perhan had the cask brought back to the Natural History Museum and unsealed. The monstrous N'Korik was thus released, and threatened the entire city. Only through the combined efforts of Hellboy and Painkiller Jane was the monster resealed in the cask and the threat averted.
