Geraldo Kabal was an attorney. One of his clients was Joshua Kane, the brother of Luther Kane, a man who had once tried to hunt werewolf Jack Russell. Luther Kane had claimed to have a cure for lycanthropy.
After Luther and Joshua Kane were both dead (both having lost conflicts they instigated with the Russell's alter ego, the Werewolf), Jack Russell tracked down their attorney (Kabal) in order to get more information about this supposed cure. It turned out that Kabal had in his possession some mystical items that had belonged to Kane, including a werewolf ring.
Geraldo Kabal also did work for Mallet Studios, the movie studio that Jack Russell's neighbor and friend Clary Winters worked at. Mallet Studios produced Joshua Kane's movies.
