Young Emma Frost, not long after graduating from high school, was kidnapped by criminal Lucien Goff and his goons. At one point, things looked desperate, and Lucien was seriously planning to kill Emma because the kidnapping-for-ransom plot was going all wrong.
Emma manages to use her recently emerged telepathic powers to read Lucien mind. She tries to convince him that she was able to do so by telling him of things she saw in his memories. Among the things she mentions are "Gina and the straight razor."
Petal, a current assistant to Lucien, and a woman the woman who is his current girlfriend, is shocked by this reference to "Gina." She asks Lucien exactly who Gina was.
Later, after Lucien left, Petal approached Emma and asked her who Gina was. Emma was about to tell her, when Bazz (another person working for Lucien) put duct tape over Emma's mouth to shut her up. Bazz said he did this because Lucien asked him to do so. Clearly Lucien did not want Emma telling his gang about Gina or other secrets she gleened from his mind, although he claimed to not believe her that she read his mind.
Clearly "Gina" was somebody who had been important in Lucien's life. She was one of the first memories Emma obtained from him when she read his mind. The reference to a "straight razor" is ominous. One might conjecture that Gina was a previous girlfriend of Lucien's who he either killed with a straight razor or who killed herself with a straight razor.
