Queen Sebel is the queen of the tiny nation of Manopal. She visits the Fantastic Four and tells them that the Great White Stone (a rather large and extremely valuable diamond) has been stolen from her. She hires them to help her get it back.
What the Queen does not tell the Fantastic Four is that she has powerful magical abilities which she amplifies with the Great White Stone, allowing her to enslave the people of Manopal.
Eventually the Fantastic Four encounter rebels (the "bandits" the Queen said stole the diamond) and learn the truth about her despotic rule. The Fantastic Four also free Queen Sebel's sister, who Sebal has kept imprisoned for over one thousand years.
