It is worth pointing out that in many animated films which feature the pie baked with "four and twenty blackbirds," the king before whom the pie is set is Old King Cole. Nevertheless, we list "the king" from this nursery rhyme as a distinct character because "Old King Cole" and "Sing a Song of Sixpence" are distinct nursery rhymes which tell distinct stories.
