After Mr. Sloan, a vicious mobster, killed professional football player Jack Magniconte's brother Steve, Jack and his wife, and some of Jack's teammates, formed Kicker's, Inc. The group they formed was a not-for-profit foundation organized to help people with special problems. So although Mr. Sloan did a terrible thing, Jack Magniconte used this family tragedy as the inspiration for something good.
