Fledgeling costumed hero "Manhunter" (Paul Kirk) was out to find a dangerous new criminal who was threatening Empire City. He was walking on a sidewalk when he heard three young boys talking about seeing somebody who matched the Buzzard's description. The Manhunter looked over the fence and asked the boys about what they saw.
Manhunter asked: "Where did you see the Bird, Sonny? What did he look like?"
A boy in a long-sleeve yellow shirt told the masked hero: "So help me! I saw it... Right on top of Mrs. Stanton's roof! It had a big beak and it looked something awful!"
Manhunter told the boys: "Thanks, Sonny... You just painted a very clear picture of the Buzzard!!!"
