Freddie Bell was featured in a humorous strip, a short gag strip, in New Comics #1 (the first issue in the series that would become DC Comics' long-running Adventure Comics series). Freddie was a boy who meant well, but whose good intentions sometimes had unintended consequences.
Freddie tried to help a woman on a train and an overweight gentleman he encountered on the street. In both instances, the results didn't match Freddie's intentions.
