Young siblings Bobby and Binks found a magic crystal which sent them through time and space to ancient Egypt. A slave overseer witnessing their appearance declared that they were witches and brought them to the priests. The priests performed a divination ritual and then said that they would use the "test of death" to determine the fate of Bobby and Binks.
For the "test of death," Bobby and Binks were placed before two executioners - two men wielding frightening axes. The executioners were set with the task of chopping off the heads of their two captives. If their axes turned away, the priests explained, then this would mean that the gods wanted Bobby and Binks to go free, and so they would be released. if the executioners' axes did NOT turn away, well, that would be the end of that.
But before the executioners could swing their mighty axes and chop off the heads of Bobby and Binks (or not chop off their heads, as the case may be), the pharoah over all of Egypt - Cheops himself - arrived, putting a halt to the proceedings.
