The villainous robot Computo (a creation of sentient robotic lifeform Quasimodo) and Computo's Cybertrons had a secret base (the "Cybertron Hive") located underneath Apex Sand and Gravel Co., Inc. in New York City.
After Cybertons stole a powerful radio transmitter from the radio station where Scott Summers (Cyclops) was working at the time, Cyclops and his girlfriend, fellow X-Man Marvel Girl, trailed the Cybertrons to their base under a construction site that was the headquarters of or a client site of Apex Sand and Gravel. There, the two young X-Men battled Computo, the Cybertrons and Quasimodo.
